​Who Can Apply?

Two Pathways to Become an SRA LTR Coach
​
SRA recognizes both new and experienced coaches through structured entry pathways into the Learn to Row programme.

Pathway 1: New LTR Coaches

​For Individuals New to Rowing Coaching Applicants with no prior rowing coaching experience are required to:
  • Sign up with SRA as an LTR Member
  • Complete the SRA Learn to Row Coach Certification Programme
  • Fulfil all course attendance and assessment requirements
  • Adhere to SRA’s coaching code of conduct, safety, and safeguarding policies
Certification must be obtained before conducting any Learn to Row sessions under SRA.

Pathway 2: Experienced Rowing Coaches

For Coaches with Previous Rowing Coaching ExperienceApplicants who have coached rowing previously are required to:
  • Sign up with SRA as an LTR Member
  • Apply for accreditation into the SRA Learn to Row Programme
  • Submit relevant coaching qualifications and/or proof of coaching experience
SRA may require experienced coaches to complete selected modules or assessments to ensure alignment with SRA’s Learn to Row framework.

​General Requirements - Applicable to All Applicants

All applicants must:
  • Meet SRA’s minimum age requirements
  • Commit to upholding SRA’s coaching standards and safety guidelines
  • Comply with any additional requirements set by SRA from time to time
